Mark plays the lead role of Leo, a thirty year-old father of two children and metalworker. Born in Australia and educated in Australia and the US, Mark has appeared in numerous film, TV and theatre productions, including: ESCAPE FROM PRETORIA, THE DRESSMAKER, BALIBO, VAN DIEMEN’S LAND, HEALING, BLAME, THE PACIFIC and PINE GAP.

SILVIA COLLOCA

Silvia plays the integral role of Maria, new Italian immigrant and narrator for the film. Born in Milan, Silvia is an Italian-Australian actress, opera singer, cookbook author, and TV cookery show personality. Her film roles include VAN HELSING and LESBIAN VAMPIRE KILLERS, and she played the Wicked Queen in Opera Queensland’s production of SNOW WHITE.

ROBERT MENZIES

JIM

Robert plays Jim, father to Leo and ex-POW still living in the shadow of his WW2 war experience. Robert is a veteran of film, TV and theatre. His films include: HEATWAVE, BLISS, THREE DOLLARS, SIAM SUNSET, and Wilson’s previous film, CANOPY. His TV credits include: THE DOCTOR BLAKE MYSTERIES, MONASH & THE ANZAC LEGEND, BLUE HEELERS and STINGERS.

TONY

Tony, played by Fabio, is a new immigrant working in the same factory as Leo. Fabio Motta is an actor, clown and teaching artist who had the fortune of performing and devising theatre in Australia, Italy and the United States. His TV credits include: CARLA CAMETTI PD, CANAL ROAD, RONNY CHIENG, INTERNATIONAL STUDENT, UTOPIA and HATING ALISON ASHLEY.
